Kath Waters

“Alone” was inspired by my dear friend Matthew Warburton, a wonderful man and a great writer of plays and poetry. A couple of summers ago he came to me with an idea for a project about loneliness and we sat at my dining room table reading through his notes and discussing ideas of situations and characters, and also how the work we developed could engage with the community, particularly children and the elderly. Sadly, circumstances beyond our control meant that this project never came to fruition, but I still have his notes and his inspiration. This dance piece is for Matthew.
