Baroque Dance
Kath is a specialist performer and teacher of Baroque Dance, specialising in French and English repertoire of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. She works closely with historical dance specialist Mary Collins, Ricky Barros and Mercurius Company, and is co-founder of Apollo’s Revels.

Apollo’s Revels
Kath co-founded this chamber company with dancer Anne Deller and musicians Alison Kinder and Lynda Sayce, to explore the dance-music relationship of the Baroque repertoire. The company is currently focusing on the extant dances of the English Dancing Master “Mr Isaac”, reconstructing his choreographies to explore the accompaniment composed predominantly by James Paisible and produce the first ever commercial recording of the music for his dances.

Renaissance Dance
Kath specialises in the performance and teaching of 16th and early 17th Century Italian Court dances of the Renaissance period, reconstructing from the original manuscripts of dancing master’s such as Caroso and Negri. In addition, she teaches and performs many of the Playford country dances of this period. Her mission is to make Renaissance Dance interesting and accessible to younger dancers and her company of young adults perform in historic houses and castles as well as festivals of early music and dance.
